Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to outline that respect for human rights is a fundamental value of Goodwill Caring Healthcare Services. Our company strives to respect and promote civil rights through non-discrimination in our relationships with our employees, clients, communities and other business stakeholders.

It is the policy and commitment of Goodwill Caring Healthcare Services that it does not
discriminate based on race, age, color, sex, national origin, physical or mental disability, or religion. All services provided by Goodwill Caring Healthcare Services will be delivered in accordance with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and in compliance with Chapters 51 and 611 under the State of Pennsylvania’s Department of Health code for home care, agencies/registries.
Our agency seeks to hire the most qualified and talented direct care workers to assist
clients/consumers to live as independently as possible while performing their activities of daily living. Therefore, our company hires employees from diverse backgrounds.

Discriminatory Harassment
Harassment or intimidation of a client, staff person or guest because of that person’s race, age, color, sex, national origin, physical or mental disability, or religion is specifically prohibited and may be grounds for termination. Agency employees are prohibited from discriminating against any client or potential client for home care services because of race, color, religious creed, age, sex, ancestry, union membership sexual orientation, gender identity, national or ethnic origin, disability, or because the client is/has been a victim of a violent crime (including crimes of domestic violence). Goodwill Caring Healthcare Services is committed to maintaining a workplace that is free of any such harassment and will not tolerate discrimination against staff members, volunteers or agency clients. Issues of discriminatory treatment, harassment, or intimidation on any of these bases should immediately be reported to the

addressed in an objective, supportive, and sensitive manner without recrimination, retaliation, or reprisal. In certain circumstances, the company may review or investigate a suspected incident of workplace abuse or harassment in the absence of a reported allegation.
